Terms of Service
Last updated: April 1, 2026
Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using any service provided by RCNR AI Solutions LLC (“RCNR,” “we,” “us”), including our websites, teacher tools, and student-facing applications (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
Who Can Use the Services
Teachers:
Teacher accounts require authentication through Clerk and a valid subscription. You must be 18 or older and authorized by your school or district to use educational technology tools with students.
Students:
Students access our tools through session access codes created by their teacher. Students do not create accounts. Student use is authorized and supervised by the teacher who created the session. Students under 13 may only use the Services with appropriate parental or school consent as required by COPPA.
Description of Services
RCNR provides AI-powered educational tools for K-12 teachers, including:
- Writing and assessment tools (Blue Book, Draft Coach, ProveIt, TestHub)
- Content creation tools (QuizForge, SlideForge, Canvas Creator)
- Classroom management tools (ClassZen, Countdown Timer)
- Research tools (Research Writer)
Some tools use AI (powered by the Anthropic Claude API) to generate feedback, questions, or content. AI-generated output is provided as a tool for the teacher and is not a substitute for professional educational judgment.
AI Usage and Limitations
Our tools use AI to assist with grading, feedback, quiz generation, and content creation. You should be aware that:
- AI-generated feedback and scores are suggestions, not final grades. Teachers are responsible for reviewing and approving all AI output before it affects student records.
- AI may occasionally produce inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate output. We continuously improve our prompts, but we cannot guarantee perfection.
- Student writing is sent to the Anthropic API for processing. Student names are stored separately and are never included in API payloads — only the writing content is sent. Anthropic does not use API data for model training.
- We do not use AI to make decisions about student discipline, placement, or eligibility for services.
Data Ownership
Student data belongs to the school district. We process student data solely to provide the Services and at the direction of the teacher (acting as a school official). When a school district has a Data Privacy Agreement (DPA) with us, the terms of that DPA govern student data and take precedence over these Terms.
Teacher-created content (assignments, rubrics, quiz configurations) remains the intellectual property of the teacher. We do not claim ownership of content you create using our tools.
Student-generated content (essays, writing submissions, test answers) remains the property of the student and their school district. We store it only to provide the Services and delete it automatically after 30 days.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for any purpose other than legitimate educational activities
- Submit content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others
- Attempt to access other users' data or bypass access controls
- Share your account credentials or session access codes with unauthorized individuals
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Services
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our source code
- Use the Services to develop a competing product
Subscriptions and Payment
Access to teacher tools requires a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed through LemonSqueezy and are subject to LemonSqueezy's terms of service for payment processing.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual).
- You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact [email protected].
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes do not apply to the current billing period.
Teacher Responsibilities
As a teacher using our tools, you are responsible for:
- Ensuring your use complies with your school or district's policies and any applicable DPA
- Obtaining any required parental consent before using student-facing tools with students under 13
- Reviewing AI-generated feedback before sharing it with students or using it for grading decisions
- Not including student last names, student ID numbers, or other unnecessary PII when submitting work for AI feedback
- Keeping session access codes secure and distributing them only to intended students
Canvas LMS Integration
If you connect your Canvas account, you grant RCNR permission to perform actions on your behalf using your Canvas API token, limited to the operations you explicitly request (creating content, managing dates, auditing courses). You are responsible for ensuring you have authorization from your school or district to connect third-party tools to Canvas. You may revoke access at any time by deleting your token from your RCNR account or regenerating your Canvas API token.
Service Availability
We strive to keep the Services available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend the Services for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of planned downtime. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by service interruptions.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RCNR AI Solutions LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services, including but not limited to:
- Inaccurate AI-generated feedback or scores
- Service interruptions or data loss
- Unauthorized access to your account due to compromised credentials
Our total liability for any claim arising from the Services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that AI output will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular educational purpose.
Termination
You may stop using the Services and cancel your subscription at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Services in a way that harms other users, our infrastructure, or our reputation. We will provide notice before termination when feasible.
Upon termination, your teacher content remains available for export for 60 days. Student data is deleted according to our standard retention schedule (30 days after assignment closure).
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Utah.
Data Privacy Agreements
If your school district has entered into a Data Privacy Agreement (DPA) with RCNR, the terms of that DPA govern the treatment of student data and take precedence over these Terms of Service with respect to student data privacy and security.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify active subscribers by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
